In this moment,curze points out the atrocities the inperium is commiting,but dorn rebukes him,attempting to explain that the need for nuance is nesecary because the crusade is only one phase of the emporors plan,there was a whole thing to the crusades plan,the webway for example. of the main chaos gods, Tzeentch sits truly apart; Khorne is simply a war god (like Ares/mars etc), similarly Nurgle is a death god. both these two are ancient archetypes pretty much undiluted, expressed within the Warhammer setting. All cultures have had war gods and death gods. Warhammer is a dark universe defined by war, so these manifestations are coloured by that. these two gods were the first two named and described in the Warhammer publications (1983/4?)and are probably the simplest to understand. Slaanesh is more culturally specific to Judaeo-Christian culture and an avatar of what our western religions demonised in their dealings with pagan religious followers. other cultures simply did not demonize hedonism and sensuality in the same way our modern Christian and Muslim cultures do. remembering how Astarte (of the old Babylonians) was demonised into Ashtaroth (the medieval Demon) shows the cultural soft spot Slaanesh plays off. perhaps Dionisius as well. also Slaanesh references succubus and incubus of ancient times. these three all represent ancient divinities warhammerifieded, chaosified, but with a clear cultural link to our past. but Tzeentch is different, most directly the child of Azathoth (of H P Lovecraft) and Arioch (of Elric of Melnibone) he is truly the most abstract of the chaos gods, the god which mostly directly embodies chaos itself, something scarcely touched in ancient religion and not explored and expanded upon. (Erebus? the primordial of the Ogdoad creation Myth of Egypt?) Tzeentch is truly a product of our culture and era rather than any other. Whilst he may become associated with the archetype of the Sorcerer, the link is far more tenuous than that of the other gods to their respective ancient religious counterparts. where the other gods are the chaos gods of war, death and sensuality respectively, Tzeentch is the god of chaos itself. where the others take their primary inspiration from ancient myths, Tzeentch takes his from modern myths
